Annual Events

The first-ever National College Student Grief Awareness week, hosted by National Students of AMF, will be held April 13-20!  The goal is to share our message – that grieving students are not alone, and that they can find support and understanding in peers through the programs that National Students of Ailing Mothers and Fathers and our campus chapters provide– with as many students across the nation as possible.

The National AMF Weekend is held annually in August in Raleigh, NC and includes the Boot Camp to Beat Cancer and AMF Banquet. The 2006 AMF Weekend raised over $20,000 and the 2007 AMF Weekend raised over $40,000!

The inaugural National Conference on College Student Grief will be held in August 22, 2008 in Raleigh, NC to bring together student, faculty, and administrative leaders from around the country to engage in a discussion on the issues of grieving college students and what needs to be done to support these students.

Hold your own fundraiser

Hold your own Special Event to raise money for the National Students of AMF Support Network! Throughout the country, National AMF is fortunate to be supported by a variety of individuals and groups that hold their own fundraising events in their community. These events vary from single individuals who may host a run/walk/bike activity in a sporting event, to groups of volunteers conducting golf tournaments, fraternity/sorority parties, or holding cocktail/dinner events. Contact David@studentsofAMF.org if you are interested in holding a special fundraising event.
